Community: Night OUT for ‘Elf the Musical’

2511

Embrace your inner ELF and kick off the Christmas season right. After a long day of Black Friday shopping, a night OUT may be the perfect way to end the day and get into the holiday spirit. Join the Long Center for an opening night pre-show get together with friends and supporters of the LGBT community at Night OUT.

Night OUT is a series of free events for the LGBT community and allies staged around select events during the 2014-15 Long Center Presents Season. This Night OUT features complimentary light hors d’ouvres and a cash bar topped with a sweeping downtown Austin view from the Kodsky Donor Lounge. The opening reception will be followed by the modern day Christmas classic ELF the musical. ELF is the tale of Buddy, a young orphan who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag and gets transported back to the North Pole. Noticeably different from the rest of the elves, he faces the truth and with Santa’s permission, goes back to New York City in search of his birth father and discover his true identity all while helping New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
