Feeling spontaneous and want to get WAY out of town? Venture out to Marfa this weekend for the 8th annual Trans-Pecos Festival of Music + Love. Held at El Cosmico, the funky hotel campground operated by Austin’s hotelier Liz Lambert, the festival hosts a weekend packed with live music, from rock and folk performances to blues, country, and beyond. Festivalgoers can also enjoy workshops, a vendor marketplace, sandlot baseball, a pig roast by Austin restaurateur, Lou Lambert, and returning by popular demand, soothing spa treatments at the El Cosmico tent. Set in arguably one of the most beautiful and unique landscapes in Texas, the festival features many talents, including Grammy-nominated Meshell Ndegeocello, John Doe of the legendary punk band X, and San Antonio indie rock band Girl in a Coma.
The Trans-Pecos Festival hopes to bring about a sense of freedom and community amongst attendees… and of course, good times with good entertainment.
