The JCC of Austin in collaboration with many local and national LGBT organizations is pleased to invite the Austin community to register for a trip of a lifetime to Israel. Open to the general public, this opportunity welcomes all participants to join in on a 10 day trip to Israel, where the LGBT communities of North America and friends can explore Israel and its rich and vibrant culture.
The program’s itinerary extends from June 8th to 20th with fun and engaging activities scheduled throughout. JCC of Austin welcomes participants of all faiths and offers a diverse travel group with travelers from all over North America, including Austin, Vancouver, Houston, Dallas, Washington D.C., Florida, New York and more
The LGBT community and friends will be able to explore Israel, visiting Jerusalem, Masada, the Dead Sea, the Galil, Acco, Tel Aviv, the Judean desert, Yaffo, the Golan Height and more. Travelers will also get the chance to visit LGBT community centers, tour fascinating museums and memorials and enjoy the rich culture of Israel and fine cuisine. Participants are also invited to experience and celebrate the Middle East’s largest Gay Pride event and International LGBT film festival while in Tel Aviv, the known gay capital of the Middle East.
Participants on this trip will have conversations with leaders in the Israeli LGBT movement, visit both ancient and modern Israel; visit the desert and the city; learn about diversity and excellence within Israel; and discuss the challenges that daily life presents while visiting with people that are working on those solutions.
