Calling all riders, teams, volunteers and friends – it’s that time of year again! The Hill Country Ride for AIDS, an annual cycling event throughout Central Texas, celebrates the start of its 16th anniversary ride with a kickoff party. The HCRA will start off the 2015 season at the Zach Theater this Thursday with delicious nibbles from Pink Avocado, plenty of drinks, and of course, “serious fun for a serious cause.”
The Hill Country Ride for AIDS, organized in 1999, rolls out every spring with riders, teams and volunteers providing life-changing support for thousands across Central Texas living with HIV/AIDS. One of the largest HIV/AIDS fundraising events in the Austin area and one of the most successful single day AIDS rides in the country, the ride raises funds for ten local nonprofits while also promoting awareness, community, education and volunteerism. This year’s ride takes place April 25. Riders at all levels are welcome to register and participate.
