This Friday, throw on something sparkly and join the Gender and Sexuality Center at UT as they celebrate 10 years of serving women and LGBTQA communities. The Sparkle Party boasts a night of live music, with a special guest performance from hip hop and soul band Magna Carda, a cupcake bar for guests with a sweet tooth and above all, community fun. The event also features testimonials from those who’ve been touched by the GSC over the years and celebrations of campus and community partners.
The Gender and Sexuality Center at UT has long served women and the LGBTQ community by providing opportunities for members of the UT Austin community to explore and promote learning around issues of gender and sexuality. The center has also met the needs of women and the LGBTQ community through outreach, education and advocacy. In August of 2004, the GSC first opened its doors and today, the center continues to grow and gain visibility.
