From the beginning, L Style G Style has been a proud supporter and sponsor of aGLIFF, the Austin Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. In fact, it was the festival that brought Alisa and me together. Each year, the programming grows stronger and this year, aGLIFF has taken a tremendous leap forward under the stewardship of Jim Brunzell, Program Director. One of those films, Dual, makes it’s Texas premiere on Sunday and we are proud to be the community sponsor. Directed by Nejc Gazvoda, Dual follows Iben, a young Danish woman, who finds herself stranded in Slovenia after a cancelled flight to Greece. She meets beautiful yet solemn, Tina and over the course of 24 hours, the pair find themselves not only spending the day together, but potentially, falling in love. To complicate matters, neither woman understands the other’s native language so their connection is limited to their second language, English, but major plot lines are revealed via subtitles but never to each other. Think the lesbian version of Before Sunrise meets Sliding Doors, how will this romance end?
