Sometimes in life, thing just don’t go as planned. But when faced with an unexpected turn of events, how do you handle it? Austinites Summer McKee and her mother, Rose Colombo, knew just how to turn things around when their elaborately planned event had to be cancelled. The pair answered by transforming the day into a celebration of love.
McKee and Colombo host Celebration of Love, a fundraising event benefiting the Paul Kirby AIDS Emergency Assistance Fund of the Octopus Club. The evening at the historic Driskill Hotel will feature hor d’oeuvres, sweet treats, music and complimentary cocktails throughout the evening for the first 150 guests. In spirit of the cause, donations as small as $25 are encouraged.
