Fourth Annual Touch-A-Truck Puts Kids in the Driver’s Seat
Event features military, construction, and emergency vehicles, raises funds for Austin Children’s Services
Saturday, May 9th – 10AM – 3 PM – Touch-A-Truck, one of Austin’s most unique events for kids, features vehicles of all shapes and sizes – like ambulance, fire truck, bulldozer, or military transporter – and kids get to touch, climb on, and explore them all. The event will also host food trucks, a petting zoo, face painting, barrel train rides, and more.
The event raises funds for kids at Austin Children’s Services (ACS) who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, and also helps support prevention programs that keep kids safe in their homes.
“I love the fact that what’s at the center of Touch-A-Truck is wholesome family fun — kids running and playing and learning outside with their parents,” said Kelly White, Executive Director of ACS. “What better way to reinforce what’s really important in families than to build an event around it?”
