Show your support and “SUP it UP” for Breast Cancer Resource Center!
SUP it UP for CANCER will be holding its FIRST annual group paddle board & kayak event benefiting the Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC)! This event will be at Rowing Dock on Lady Bird Lake on Sunday, October 1st, to kick off October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
BCRC is the only nonprofit organization in Central Texas focusing its services solely on those affected by breast cancer. Join us in helping others have a real chance at fighting breast cancer! (insert BCRC logo here)
In the spirit of Austin’s “Keep It Weird” mantra, we invite all participants to wear a decorated bra, bikini top or favorite pink accessory as you paddle or kayak on Lady Bird Lake.
The fun doesn’t just end on the water! Join us afterwards for the official SUP it UP for CANCER After-Party at Threadgill’s. Prizes will be given from Kendra Scott, Tito’s Homemade Vodka, Paul Mitchell and more.
When: Sunday, October 1st 7:45 to 8:30 am check in for t-shirts, wrist band and board/kayak rental. Please check in early so you have time to get your photo taken and get refreshments before the paddle. 8:45 SHARP check in ENDS! 9:00 am paddle begins and ends at 11:00 am.
Where: Rowing Dock, 2418 Stratford Drive, Austin, TX 78746. Paddle from Rowing Dock to Lamar Street Bridge and back (approximately 2 miles). (insert small map of paddle here)
After party – Threadgill’s 301 W Riverside Drive, 12:00 to 2:00 pm.
Who: Any and all are invited. Limit is 150 participants, so reserve your ticket now! Bring your own board or kayak, or Rowing Dock will happily rent to you.
What: $30 per ticket. If you don’t have your own boat- $10 paddle board rental, $10 for single kayak, $20 for double kayak. Children under 12 are free, but must accompany adult in double kayak.
