Mix 94.7 Presents The Merry Mix Show 2016! It is back and better than ever at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Wednesday, December 14th! This year’s superstar lineup includes Train, Fitz and the Tantrums and Blue October.
TRAIN was inescapable during the turn of the 21st century when songs like “Calling All Angels” and “Drops of Jupiter” made the San Francisco residents some of America’s most popular balladeers. The band achieved mainstream success with their debut album Train, released in 1998 with the hit “Meet Virginia”. Train’s 2001 album, Drops of Jupiter won two Grammy Awards in 2002. The album was certified double platinum in the United States and Canada and remains the band’s best-selling album to date.
The band plans to release their tenth studio album, A Girl, A Bottle, A Boat, in January 2017. In September 2016, the band released the debut single from their forthcoming album “Play That Song.”
Since their founding in 2008, FITZ & THE TANTRUMS have defied the odds to become an indisputable phenomenon, a chart-topping, modern pop combo unlike any other, brimming with imagination, energy, and genre-smashing scope. With their new Elektra Records debut, More Than Just a Dream, the LA-based group has ramped up their timeless songcraft and soul sonic force. “The only rule in making this record was that there were no rules,” says Fitz. “Nobody was allowed to say, ‘We can’t do that.’ We didn’t limit ourselves.”
BLUE OCTOBER, is an American alternative rock band originally from Houston, Texas. The band was formed in 1995 and known for their rock songs and haunting lyrics on albums such as 2009’s Billboard Top 15 debut, Approaching Normal, 2011’s Billboard Top Ten debut Any Man In America and the Platinum-selling Foiled. They made a triumphant return with Sway in 2013. The band has had eight Top 40 singles over their past seven studio albums, and is best known for their platinum singles “Hate Me” and “Into the Ocean.”
