(Think Orange is the New Black and Django Unchained!)
On the Long Center Terrace
Formula 1 is rolling out the race track, and Motostalgia is rolling out the red carpet! The inaugural Ladies Vintage Grand Chapeau Day puts a new spin on “old Hollywood” with appearances by Nichole Galicia (Django Unchained), David Basche (The Exes), and Alysia Reiner (Orange is the New Black). Tickets for Ladies Vintage Grand Chapeau Day are on sale now and start at $25.
Quentin Tarantino hand picked Nichole Galicia to play the role of Sheba in his epic southern “Django Unchained”. Sheba, as described by Tarantino, is “a woman with a sense of self that would be two hundred years in the making.” Nichole appeared alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx in Tarantino’s highest grossing movie to date. “Django Unchained” has won several awards including a Golden Globe and an Academy Award.
David Basche is one of a handful of actors who can “do it all.” He’s been a series regular on many TV comedies and dramas, but has also worked for Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, George Nolfi and more. He’s flirted with Julia Roberts, stolen Tom Cruise’s wife, berated Brooke Shields, married (and divorced) Debra Messing, and snubbed Sarah Jessica and Mr. Big. But don’t let his screen credits fool you: he’s a trained theatre actor with serious on-stage chops. Basche currently stars in TV Land’s “The Exes.”
Often recognized for appearing in the Oscar-winning film “Sideways”, Alysia Riner has expanded her roles over the years from actress, to award winning producer, humanitarian, outspoken environmentalist, and mother. In 2014 Reiner can be seen starring in her second season of Netflix’s award-winning hit series “Orange is the New Black.” Hailed as a must-watch show for Summer, “Orange is the New Black” centers around a women’s prison, and Reiner stars as ‘Natalie “FIG” Figueroa’, the tough as nails assistant warden. When it premiered, “Orange Is The New Black” generated more viewers in its first week than any other Netflix original series. Production is currently ongoing for Season 3.
Putting a modern twist on a vintage lawn party, Ladies Vintage Grand Chapeau Day is the classiest picnic in town. Enjoy lobster on the terrace, and toast with champagne al fresco. With a display of antique and collector cars, you’ll want to bring along the mister, too.
