Jo’s Coffee announces its 17th annual Lyndon Lambert Memorial Easter Pet Parade + Costume Contest to be held on Saturday, March 26th from noon to 3pm benefiting Austin Pets Alive! (www.austinpetsalive.org). Dress your pet in high fashion, street fashion, no fashion … there are no rules! When it comes to this highly anticipated event – the weirder, the better. The parade starts at noon at Annie Street and South Congress and ends at Jo’s Coffee (1300 South Congress). For musical entertainment, the parade is to be led by the Dead Music Capital Band and guests can later enjoy live music from the Andrew Nafziger Trio.

“Austin Pets Alive! has been part of the Jo’s Easter Pet Parade since 2009,” said Austin Pets Alive! Community Events Manager Joshua Lee, “In that time, we have saved the lives of more than 36,000 animals! We rely heavily on the support of community partners like Jo’s to help share our mission and continue the success of APA!”

The pet costume competition will be emceed by Lyndon’s twin and local celebrity chef Lou Lambert and judged by well-known locals like Steve Wertheimer, Terri Hannifin and more. There will be lots of FREE activities for the entire family including a bounce house, local vendors including Austin Dogtown, Mud Puppies, The Bones & Co., Brother’s Barkery, Lick Ice Cream, Woofgang Bakery and Snapology along with the Easter Bunny, face painters, cotton candy and of course – pets in costumes.

The costume contest is limited to 30 participants – so early registration is urged! Individuals can register their pets at JosCoffee.com (http://conta.cc/1Ld5B15). The event fee is $20/per pet. Please remember that all proceeds benefit Austin Pets Alive!
