Spend the day uncovering unique works of art from all over the country, enjoy delectables at our food trucks and concession booths, and then relax as the sun sets over Houston’s iconic skyline. Rock out to the timeless tunes of two time Grammy Nominee Martha Wash, the legendary voice of  It’s Raining Men,  Sweat (Everybody Dance Now), Strike It Up, and Everybody, Everybody. Soak up the soulful sounds of Grady Gaines & The Texas Upsetters and witness live painting and architectural video mapping projected in real time onto Houston’s downtown buildings. Shop all day, sip and groove all night. This year, the festivities get even better After Dark.

Touted as one of the nation’s top ten annual outdoor fine art events, the Bayou City Art Festival Downtown 2014 boasts 300 national and international juried fine and visual performing artists working in 19 media. One of Houston’s most anticipated bi-annual events, the festival offers a fun-filled weekend of art, live music, food and libations and the debut of Bayou City After Dark, an evening of fine art, concert and cocktails.

Now in its 43rd year, the Art Colony Association has raised more than $35 million for local nonprofit programs through the festivals. This collaborative nonprofit event puts 100 percent of the proceeds back into the community through their 15 nonprofit partners. Bayou City Art Festivals is funded in part by a grant from the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.

PRICE: $10 for adults, $3 for children (ages 3-12). After Dark Tickets are only valid for Saturday after 5pm.

PUBLIC PARKING: VIP parking will be available under the City Hall Annex and event parking is available through WinPark located at 1100 Smith Street.
