Austin-based fashion and lifestyle brand Consuela is thrilled to announce its 10 year anniversary celebration with a jam-packed weekend of festivities, fun and color. The weekend will kick off with a VIP Presale of Consuela designs and accessories on Friday, July 29 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at downtown Austin’s newest event venue 800 Congress, located at 800 Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78701. The VIP Presale will be an amazing opportunity for Austin fashion lovers to purchase first quality merchandise at incredibly low prices;; it is Consuela’s way of showing its appreciation and gratitude for loyal customers and the inspiration they have provided to the brand. Presale tickets will cost $25 and can be purchased at the door. The event will then be open to the public for free on Saturday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, July 31 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Activities offered throughout the weekend include music, live street art, piñatas, a photo booth, food, cocktails, delicious bites and more. VIP Presale tickets will soon be available.
Over the past decade, Consuela has been providing women with products that present a playful mix of colors and patterns meant to bring out one’s boldness of spirit and authenticity. With Founder Conni Reed at the helm, Consuela has developed into an Austin mainstay and dedicated brand whose trademarked design aesthetic, The Art of the Unmatched, has inspired women to “Look Good, Laugh Easy, Lift the World, and Live in Color.”
“This anniversary celebration is about the people who have supported us these past 10 years,” said Conni Reed. “We have been so fortunate to have an amazing support system of friends, family and customers. We want to share our joy and appreciation with them. First and foremost, Consuela is about them and about life, not just about the bags.”
It was in 2005 when Conni returned from an annual vacation in Mexico with her husband, Clay, where she was revitalized and inspired by the colors, vibrancy and culture she witnessed that she decided she could no longer deny the longing in her soul to live a life of creative fulfillment. She returned to Austin, quit her corporate job and embarked on the journey that would lead her to Consuela a year later.
Through a mixture of unexpected textures, pallets and textiles, Consuela creates perfectly pleasing unmatched products; each a unique piece of art, balanced in an unbalanced way. It is these products that are marked by an unconventional fusion of intense, saturated colors, eccentric patterns, rich textures and exquisite craftsmanship that has attributed to the company’s success over the past ten years.
